It's a slow day today at the office since most already filed for a leave and enjoy the very long weekend. Unfortunately, I'm not lucky enough to score a leave because I have deadlines today.
Ahh, it's pretty quiet here and it makes us all very sleepy, not a
good thing , I'm starting to doze off while typing >.< . Anyway, to ward off the sleepiness and boredom, I went fishing for a bit. ^^

Charcoal

I went to a friend's birthday party last night and saw this cute "aspin" (new name for askal - asong pinoy), that looks like a labrador. Mau named her Charcoal, our friend's dad who owns the house said that someone from their province is selling her off for 750 php. The poor thing looked so sad and alone, everybody wanted to adopt her. I want to adopt her but the problem is mom and dad don't like female dogs. Mom agreed to keep her but in one condition, I must have her spayed, to prevent unwanted pregnancy and litter. Do you guys know a clinic who offers cheap spaying services? I already inquired at PAWS and their spaying service is on hold because of lack of medicines while CARA charges at least 1,000. Is this the cheapest rate I can get? What is the usual rate for a spaying service? Sorry, I'm a noob when it comes to female spaying, my dad is the one who neuters our male dogs so this is the first time that I will ask a "professional" to do it.

A break from routine

Good day to all. New update! Yay! I thank God for granting me these few minutes to update my blog. I got my annual physical exam results last month and unfortunately, I dropped a few pounds and I'm now underweight, aside from that, I also have UTI. Stress is one big factor, my mom, doctor, and friends advised me to take a little break from time to time. So ever since Feb, I'm trying my hardest to distance myself from MMORPGs and work bit by bit.

Enter the "epic" YM conferences with friends. Me and friends were lucky enough to be employed in companies that allows browsing and instant messaging. So we get to talk to each other during working hours and most of us are addicted to Facebook games and various flash mini games.

Ooops gotta go. I will post more about various mini games that I've been playing in my next entry. ^^ .

Nuts, nuts and more nuts

Wintertsuki brought us some treats. Nuts, lots of them, her dad is in the country and brought home sacks of almonds, so she brought some to the office and we've been nibbling them for the past week now. She also gave me a bar of chocolate because she can't eat it. Lucky ~ .

I went to my parent's house during the weekends, it's a requirement if I want to stay in my apartment longer. But I might stay in my apartment for good, because my Dad decided that he would tend to our fields in Masbate permanently. This means, no one will pick me up or drive me around the metro, and living in Makati seems more feasible now. We might sell the family van as well because no one knows how to drive. I asked if i can have it instead, Mom said it's too big for me so if my dad agrees , they would sell the van and buy a car then I will drive it. Lucky ~ .

Sunday, my last day at the house, I was watching Dukes of Hazzard, when the power went out. I went out of my room to help my grandma find the matches and candles. Then I sat on the sofa and did nothing for a few minutes. The silence was deafening if you block out the noise of the crikets. I tried to take a nap but it was darn to hot. I went back to my room hoping that my bed would be a lot colder than the sofa, it wasn't. >.< . I looked at the clock and it was only 7:30 in the evening. The black out was driving nuts, and I wanted t pack my bags and leave for my apartment right then and there. However, worry is keeping me from leaving the house. I can't leave my grandma home alone god knows what will happen if I left her with the candles. Then the thought of burglars getting into our house as well. Last night someone threw a rock at our roof so that got me so worried. So i chucked the idea of leaving early out the window and willed myself to sleep. I drifted in and out because of the heat, the third time I woke up it was 3:30 AM, I couldn't go back to sleep so I repared to go to work.

I really hate power outages, so whenever there was one, I always come to the office and stay there until the power is restored. I'd rather endure working than staying at the house w/ no electricity and doing nothing.

Aside from it is valentines day(not that i care), today is our payday. I'll finally be free from the clutches of despair called "poverty". Me and my other friends were broke since last week and now it's here oh sweet payday come to mama. I might have to wait until 6 PM. I just checked online if the pay is here... no pay. But I do hope it comes in before or a few minutes after lunch. I'm starving. How did I survive poverty? Simple, we live off Kel's allowance and raids Hades' cupboard XD .

New blog layout

downloaded a new pre made layout. This is way more gothic than what I usually use, but I like it. I'll try as much as possible to post here at least once a day.

My day went like a breeze, but not a very relaxing one. I'm swamped with work and my braincells are fried to a crisp. I've churning out mushy web copies like there is no tomorrow. Yes, me a goth/rock girl writing mushy stuff. It was torture but what can I do, it's part of my job.

Oh in case you don't know yet. I'm now pROSE's Community Manager. I admit our team had a pretty rough start. The brand was handled by 3 different Brand Managers for a few months and I was formally "promoted" last January 1,2007. Our team is doing ok now, a bit frazzled due to the pace of how things go (very fast) but we are doing our best to keep up. I have a lot of great things to tell you but I have to finish my deliverables first. Gosh, it's already 8 PM and I'm still at work.

Iced Tea

Eversince C2 came along there is this huge boom in bottled Iced tea drinks. A lot of new brands popped up. If i remember correctly it was only Nestea Iced tea who sells ready to drink Iced tea aside from those chinese brands that we find in convinience stores. Probably the most popular bottled iced tea drink today is C2, everywhere you went you are bound to find a store that sells C2. But before C2 came along there was SOLA, back in the days when GM Barney was still my boss, he used to ask me to buy that particular brand of iced tea whwnever I go to the conviniece store to buy food. I wasn't a fan of iced tea then, but curiosity got the better of me and tried Sola as well and I lOVED it. After that I cut down on my soda consumtion and buys iced tea instead.

I can't ind Sola in supermarkets and it's slowly disappearing in convenience store shelves. Arrgghh I hope the manufacturers won't stop producing Sola Iced Tea. I think the reason why it didn't click is because i'ts quite expensive more or less 30 pesos per bottle while other brands cost only 15 pesos at the most. Sola's packagiing is expensive to manufacture as well, Sola is packed in glass bottles while others in plastic. Plastic is very easy to produce unlike glass. But hey glass is safer than plastic bottles, it's not carcinogenic.

Does anyone know where I can buy Sola in bulk?

Anime

I'm currently addicted to the Maria sama ga miteru series. In fact I've been downloading and printing all the Marimite related stuff that I can get my hands on, I even made a homemade book for the Novel 1 that I found. Since I'm into yuri genre these days Savant recommened the anime Mai Hime and I'm currently watching it on you tube, in return I lent Savant my copy of Marimite anime. I finished watching Rozen Maiden but the ending is very frustrating, the video upload was incomplete so the last episode is missing some parts. Rozen Maiden appealed to me because it's a story about dolls, ball jointed dolls to be exact. As most of you know I also have a ball jointed doll.

Holy Week what holy week?

Due to some unfortunate incidents involving my personal life and my private blog. I might be migrating to this one or keep this one more active than before.

My dad said that I grew thinner again @_@ I thought he is just saying that in order to get me to move back in with them. Sorry Dad, no can do, I've gotta learn to be independent and I don't want to be a burden to you anymore.Anyway going back, I met up with Adolf after work and he also said that I am thinner than the last time. ~_~ I wonder what's wrong though. I've increased my food consumption, from 2 cups of rice to 3 cups and that's every mean too. I also started eating vegetables and drink hot coco and lots and lots of water. Gyah, I wanna gain weight godemmit.

I've spent the holy week repairing gowns for a friend's wedding. The gowns were fugly and the measurements are all wrong, I was able to salvage the bride's maid dress, but the maid of honor's is way out of my league, so I ended up lending my friend one of my gowns. But since i'm thin the gown i way to small for her, I have to make adjustments. During these time I wish I don't know how to sew. ~_~

I also rediscovered my love for yuri / shoujo ai anime. I'm now currently addicted to Maria sama ga miteru a.k.a. Marimite. Out of all the shoujo anime that I've watched this is so far the best one. I came from an all girls school but Lillians are way better than the student in my alma mater. I once commented to a fellow anime enthusiast, if the girls in my school were as nice and as beautiful as the girl in Lillian Academy, I wouldn't be surprised if I come out of the school a lesbian or a bi .. lolz. Some elements and situation in the anime reminded me of my days in the all girl school.

Hmmm I'm blaberring again. I will continue my nonsense talk next time...

Recuperating

This goes out the the people who are wondering what happened to me for the past few weeks.

Yes, I'm still alive but not so well, I think the stress from last month's activities has finally taking its toll. First I had sore eyes, then cough, and now, I have a flu.

I want to get better, but my body is not complying. I don't want to stay at home because it makes me feel sad and lonely, I want to go out, and get back to work. I tried to show my parents today that I'm better and I want to drop by the mall to buy some comfort food. At first they won't allow me , but as usual, I insisted, I just don't want to be stucked at home. I got to the mall and I was welcomed with lots of people, the mall was packed with people, and I mean PACKED, apparently, Jasmine Trias is going to be there. Arrgghh, there are so many people!

I went to the restroom and looked at myself at the mirror, it was so obvious that I was sick, I think I've also dropped a few pound and my waist shrunk a bit. My first stop is Starbucks, I got myself a Grande Peppermint Mocha, it soothes my throat and gives me that much needed jumpstart. Then I went to buy a Greenwich Lasagna Supreme and a KFC original fried chicken.

Just when I thought my body is a bit better, I ws hit with a dizzy spell, so my food shopping was cut short and went back to our car. Darn it. I don't want to go home just yet, I wanted to shop for new clothes and books.

Ok, I must go now, I'm not suppose to use the computer.

A Warning for Philippines-based fandom groups
During the last quarter of 2005, MIKE ABUNDO bought the domain and created an online cosplay forum answering to the name "PINOYCOSPLAY.COM"

doing so, he has bypassed an already existing yahoo emailing list named PINOYCOSPLAY, which was already active and in existence in the year 2000, during the years following the first major anime conventions in the Philippines (ANIME EXPLOSION & ANIME QUEST of the years 2000 - 2002)

Members of pinoycosplay mailing list who are also active administrative members of FILCOSPLAY.TK, (a cosplay forum created during 2002, and thus older than pinoy cosplay) pointed this out to Mike Abundo.

Mike Abundo denies his knowledge of the existence of the pinoycosplay ML, saying if it existed it was an old and inactive group anyway, and it did not register highly in Google searches.

When NOELLE DE GUZMAN, founder of the pinoycosplay ML, spoke with Mike Abundo, he admitted that he did not, in fact, make a google search for the keyword term "pinoycosplay" before buying the .com domain and creating the forum.

Mike Abundo, in the latter part of the conversation with Noelle de Guzman, proposed that the pinoycosplay ML merge with his pinoycosplay.com forum, saying the mailing list would benefit from the boost of traffic that would soon visit his pinoycosplay.com site, claiming that his .com site was far more accessible to people everywhere.

Noelle De Guzman rejected the offer and said the Pinoycosplay ML will not be affiliated with Pinoycosplay.com under any circumstance. Mike Abundo chose to keep the name of his .com site, saying that he has already invested his monetary resources into the creation of his forums which, in reality, uses the format given by the invision.net service providers on the creation of an online bulletin board/forum.

Mike Abundo bought the site domain name pinoycosplay.com to lead to the www.invisionfree.com/pinoycosplay forum.

Since then, Mike Abundo, who is also a member of Filcosplay forums, a cosplay oriented forum not unlike his own pinoycosplay forum, has frequently made various attempts to lead members of the Filcosplay forums to his own pinoycosplay forums by posting his site links within the threads of conversation in the Filcosplay forum, often times in a blatant manner thru hotlinking and making off-topic posts that pertain to his pinoycosplay forum site.

additionally, Mike Abundo has often criticized the Filcosplay forums by emphasizing the advantages of his Pinoycosplay forum - like accessibility.

Pinoycosplay forums do not require member registration to enter, in contrast to Filcosplay forums which require this. Mike Abundo claims that this enables more user traffic to his pinoycosplay.com site as this registers higher on Google searches and has more memory recall than a long series of link names like filcosplay's "S7.INVISIONFREE.COM/FILCOSPLAY" link.

Also, as filcosplay uses the "WWW.FILCOSPLAY.TK" link as an alternative to its original "S7.INVISIONFREE.COM/FILCOSPLAY" link, Mike Abundo claims that some people would have difficulty going to filcosplay, as the filcosplay.tk link suffers from regular downtime, unlike his pinoycosplay.com site, which is a more direct connection to his own forums.

The filcosplay forum moderators have generally ignored Mike Abundo's actions, reprimanding him only when his actions were excessive, but allowed him to remain a member of the filcosplay forums.

Early this january 2006, the Filcosplay forum moderators have found out that Mike Abundo has bought the domain name of "WWW.FILCOSPLAY.COM" and uses this as a link to his own pinoycosplay.com forums.

When Mike Abundo is confronted by the moderators of Filcosplay, he says he will gladly give the www.filcosplay.com domain to filcosplay, only when the moderators make a public announcement of Mike Abundo's "generous donation" to filcosplay.

As of this writing, many filcosplay members have aired their concerns over Mike Abundo's actions.
Meanwhile, the Filcosplay forum moderators are making plans with how to act against Mike Abundo's virtual act of cyber terrorism.

Other anime/manga/cosplay/fandom related groups should be warned against making future connections or working with Mike Abundo. Take utmost care against this person and his underhanded dealings.

My CHristmas spirit is totally gone.. and slowly disappearing in my household. No chistmas tree, just a few christmas light that is rarely turned on. Didn't attend a single evening mass. No noche buena and gift opening ceremonies. Basically Chrismas eve was spent like any other evening. The Philippine economy is to blame. Sometimes I just want to stop and drop everything, shut down everything, crawl to my bed and sleep and never wake up again.

I miss my childhood, my innocence and carefree attitude. Time flies so fast, I can hardly keep up, I still have so many things to do, so many things that I want to accomplish, but I'm afraid I can't do them anymore, I'm running out of time.

I'm walking alone on a lonely road, wishing for somebody who would walk with me and keep me company.

Identity Theft?

Last night, I decided to do a random search on BJDs on the internet, out of pages and pages of queries this one link stood out. My instinct says , something is wrong with this link so i decided to investigate. It turns out its a picture of a doll named Sacre, owned by a filipina. the name Sacre sounded familiar and looking back, Shinji a.k.a I Lokve Milk told me about her doll named Sacre. She mentioned Sacre to me way back in July 2005, the reason why i remembered it is because it was around the same time that I got Verchiel. So i looked at the picture closely and said to myself.. this is definitely not Sacre. This doll is way more georgeus than Shinji's doll Himiko and even if it was hers.. the pictures are too good to be taken by her. I thought maybe the girl mistook the doll as Sacre, but when i scolled down and read the comments, Shinji posted a comment and it really seemed that the doll on the pic was hers she even said the her doll sacre was very flattered. Now that is weird.. if it really is Shinji's doll how she did not post any pictures of sacre in her blog and never mentioned Sacre to me or on her LJ and tabulas account. Banking on our past ugly encounters with this girl, I was convinced that something is fishy going on.

So i checked if Joey is stil OL. She wasn't so i decided to take pictures of the DA account just in case they delete and deny the whole thing. After 30 minutes Joey went OL. I first asked her if she heard about Shiji's doll named Sacre, if she recalled me mentioning it to her in the past, and if she saw any pictures of Sacre. Joey confirmed that she never saw Sacre, i told her about the DA picture that I've dug up, told her that the owner claims that it is Shinji's Sacre, but the doll and the picture is way to good to be hers. i showed Joey the pic and asked her if she could identify it, and right then and there she told me that the doll looked like her friend' Yuki's f17 Kaien. Joey gave me the links to Yuki's gallery to compare. She also asked me to look for Kaien's old picture because Kaien had a new face up. After a few clik, I saw Kaien wearing the exact same coat shown in the DA picture. I decided to put Kaien's pic next to the DA picture and said to Joey, it IS the SAME doll, the doll on the DA pic is Kaien. I just have to find the exact same picture to build a stronger foundation on our claims. Thanks heavens for broadband it wasn't long before i found the entry which contains the batch of pictures used in the DA picture. Joey contacted Leigh and Yapi and the rest.... is ..... umm.. history??

To shinji a.k.a. I love Milk. Yes I was the one who found the picture, it was not my intention to look for Sacre, but I guess the Gods wanted me to find out about this and don't forget, investigating cybercrime (hacking) was my former job. At first I don't want to get involved but when I woke up this morning, I said to myself, this has got to stop. I have to do something so there, I posted my side of the story. I don't care if you and your friends got mad at me. At least people would know the truth.

I have a question shinji: Why? Why are you doing this? When will you ever stop?

I hate when people lie. I hate it when my friends lie to me. I hate it when they know that I know that they are lying and they still deny it. But hate is just he tip of the iceberg. Yes, I hate "it" but it doesn't mean that i hate "them", I hate myself. My mind and my heart are playing tricks on me, I'm a very confused person. I don't know when my mind ends and my heart begins. I can't tell whether my heart is telling me do something or my mind. Like now, I'm battling with 2 "sides", one tells me he is lying but the other says no. Trust is not something that i can easily give, it may take years for a certain person to gain my trust but still, there are times that my trust betrays me and paranoia takes over. I think my past broken relationships with my friends are to blame. It takes a lot of time and effort to build a strong foundation for a friendship but lies can eat it away easily. I grew tired of giving second chances and giving my trust, so closed my door and opened a small window. But fear of being lied to or betrayed is forcing me to close my windows. And I don't know if i can open it again. A friend kept me from closing it once but now he is the one who is making me close it again. But i still hope that he is there to make things alright.

I've lost faith in myself, I'm so tired of picking up the pieces all by myself. I don't care if I die, but don't get me wrong, I don't want to take my own life. I just lost my will to live my life. Its like when something happens to bme, don't try to save me anymore kinda thing.

Arrghhh, oh please dear lord give me a sign, a sign that would tell me if he is lying or not. But wait, if he is lying, could take me with you and tell it to me in heaven? I know I cannot go on if i find out that he is.... I cannot trust anyone again, and I would live alone and die alone. I would rather die knowing nothing than live knowing that he lied.

Ecanus loved me, he offered his heart to me, but I wasted it, I threw it away and yet, he never left me. He gave me so much and I never gave anything back. He was always there when i needed protection, always there to give me strength.

Wait Ecanus don't go away, I'm lost without you. Why are you leaving? Are you going to break your promise? You promised never to leave me.

The elders were right you'll never realize what you have till its gone. It was too late when i realized that I loved him, is he coming back? How can i get him back?

Real weapons are strictly NOT allowed. If your character needs to have a weapon, you can bring a replica or make one out of cardboard or wood (points for craftsmanship!).

Gravity and Triggersoft implemented some major changes in the game and the dealer class is not happy with it. I don't get it, no matter how we explain to them that the merc that they have before is 10x more powerful than it should be they still don't listen.

pROSE is still in its infancy, beta testing phase to be exact which means the game will still undergo changes. For example hawker class was "nerfed" their dodge rate was lowered, why? Its because hawkers rule iROSE, hawkers might destroy the game balance that's why they changed its dodge rate. They say hawkers are weak? How come hawker is one of the leading classes that have high level characters? Next dealers, dealers rely on their merc a lot, which is the problem, dealers are lucky, they have a permanent tanker, heck they can kill red monster with the help of the merc, other classes can't do that unless they have a party or lots and lots of pots. So Gravity and Triggersoft adjusted the merc's power. Next is muses, I don't know why but the muse class doesn't complain that much even tho' they too are nerfed, muses doesn't have good buffs, and like dealers they have their own tankers, the bonfire, but unlike mercs they don't move so muses have to find a nice spot to put the bonfire, I guess players were too busy complaining that they didn't notice that dealers are not the only ones who were nerfed, muses' bonfire is nerfed too, it has a very very short life span, they can't use it as a tank, and in some cases they can't use it at all even for HP and MP regen.

This game has an awesome party system, I think this is one of the reasons why the developers made the characters a little weaker (according to the players) to encourage them to party up.

- you can set the party to distribute the exp evenly or according to the members' levels
-you can set the loot system to distribute evenly or at random.
- The more you party the more level your party gets. Which means you can recruit more members
- when your party levels up your hp and mp will be replenished too
- last and the most awesome feature is the modified exp, the higher your party the higher exp rate you get from monsters. Some players claim that it doesn't work, well it does, they are just too lazy to do the math. For example a Captain Moldie gives approx 1k exp when you party lets say there are only 2 of you, the exp is split to 2, so initially each of you will get 500 exp now when your party is high leveled you will get at the most 700 exp each so add that 700 + 700 = 1400 exp, see higher exp. Hehe, expecting pinoy players they would say "maliit pa rin" chill dude, there are 2 of you in the party right? SO that means 2x more killing power, you can kill monsters 2x faster. That?s also one of the reasons why we don't give modified exp, you can get that in a party.

I read a comment from a player, paano daw yung walang friends? I find this reason pathetic. Why? Making friends is not rocket science. We all know how to make friends or introduce ourselves at least. And even without friends you can still level up alone. I do that... I play alone most of the time, I'm an FS muse, I know that I can't level up alone because I don't have good offense skills, and to top it off my buff sucks. But instead of complaining what i did was, (heheh well at first I did, but I learned to adjust, make the most out of it,) where did you hear an FS Muse having to use lots of pots in order to survive? I did that, I found some ways to cope, one handy tip is RUN! Yep, we muses run a lot do escape what I call the crit from hell, running towards a nearby portal is good the monsters will leave you alone in there or try crossing a river or a bridge, the trick is go to a different territory, run towards a section of the maps where the monster class changes, from porkies, run towards the aquas or the moldies. Monsters hate to mingle with other monsters :P .

I guess what I wanted to point out is things will always change, and we are built to adapt to those changes. The only permanent thing in this world is change. Heck, there will never be humans if it wasn't for the change called EVOLUTION.

Changes in pROSE is for the best believe me, did you ask yourself this question... why would Gravity and Triggersoft bring harm to their own game? Edi sila din yung nawalan! Mag isip isip ka naman.

pRO, pROSE and Verchiel

Yay! I'm late again. I barely have time to update this blog because I have a ton of work to do. For those who still play pRO and read this blog are probably wondering what happened to me and why don't you don't see me around Rune Midgard nowadays... Well right after the RPC 2005, King Tristan sent me to the world of pROSE to serve Goddess Arua with Phage. Yep, in other words, I'm no longer a pRO GM but a pROSE GM. Learning to adopt to the pROSE way of life took some time getting used to. So until now, you won't see me walking around that much because I'm still trying to adjust and I spend most of my time obeserving the visitors from above. ^^

My "perks" certainly improved, Goddess Arua gave me a car, not an ordinary car but a sports car. Sadly I'm not a very good driver, on my first day players saw me ran into a post at least 10 times >.< . Thank god Mildun is so patient with me and my car. Goddess Arua also gave me wings. I wanted to have my uniform altered or re designed because I'm not diggin' the yellow leprechaun look. So I requested for a custom made uniform but that is still under negotiation XD .Citizens of Rune Midgard, don't fret Phage and I will still visit you there especially when Battlechaser needs our help.

I also got a new man in my life, his name is Verciel, I'll try to post his pics when I find the time. Phage and the gang already met him. I wanted to introduce him to Mod Adolf too but he doesn't seem to be interested. I hope I can bring him to LU soon so that King Tristan can finally meet him, darn Verchiel he too busy playing games right now, I guess not being able to play for almost 2 weeks is too much for him to bear. You see, Verchiel is not from the Philippines, he's from Korea. Good thing LU offers Korean online games, that cured Verchiel's homesickness and withdrwal syndromes. XD

I'm so tired and i havent slept for days, so I'm going to make this short, I'll write a longer one maybe at the end of this week after I finish with my post event reports.

For me RPC 2005 was a big improvement from last year RWC 2004, for one, WTC is fully air-conditioned ^^. Thank God, or else I would have died from heat exhaustion.

The first thing that blew my mind away was the volume of people who attended. Me and my friends went there at around 7:30, we thought we would only find a few people lining up, but alas, its only 7:30 and the lines are up to the highway, and that's doubled since there are 2 lines XD. The opening ran a little bit late becaaause there were so many people, i think the guards are trying to asses how, will they let the people in without resulting to a stampede. The Ragnafest area kept the people occupied while waiting for the next match. I think this is the first time where the sponsors joined the "quests" and the first time where they put up mini activity booths for the players. Sadly I wasn't able to participate in any of them, I wanted to try wall climbing but I'm wearing a skirt.

I don't have anything to do on the first day so I hanged out with my friend the whole time, I so happy that they were able to make it, most of us are working so we RARELY see each other, the last time we saw each other was last December. But sleep deprivation got into me, so I decided to crash at AEGIS booth to catch some rest, they have lots of pillows there, and before long, I dozed off, so i wouldn't be surprised if I see a picture of me, sleeping.

Oh well gotta go, I still need to catch some much deserve sleep.

Running on low memory.....

My PC is driving me nuts, it is so obsolete it uses its, on board video card. Hangs on an average of 2x a day and I reset it on an average of 5 x a day. I can't run ROSE and is having a very hard time running RO, i have to reset the PC over and over again and pray that my RO would run. Right now, the only thing it is ood at, is Oz World, surfing the net and listening to launchcast. Well today it decided to say goodbye to me, while patrolling on Niffleheim, I keep on getting the Ragna.exe error. Fed up, I called up the IT guys to take a look at my PC and the findings, it needs a new video card, since it only runs on a 32 mb on board video card. It was pretty late to request for a new one, so they decided to use the video card from Phage's old PC. After the IT guys performed the emergency operation on my PC, thigs got worst, now I can run any games. So King Tristan said I'm getting a new PC tomorrow, well not tecnically, since I'll be getting Phage's old PC, heck, I'm okay with that, its way better what I have right now. I so tired of having to say goodbye to the players whenever my computer hangs. :P

I'm so sick and tired of you saying what a horrible job I'm doing. I've had it with your endless complaining and whining. You keep on saying I'm incompetent, good for nothing, and corrupt.

Did it ever occur to you that what I'm doing is not easy? I guess not, I bet that you think all I do is play and play and play. Well you are bloody wrong, all I do is work, work, and work. Heck I'm so busy I don't have time to relax, I can't even remember the last time I surfed the net, played my characters or go out with my friends. I don't get enough sleep, I spend more than 8 hrs in the office, often wake up in the middle of my sleep because something went wrong. Instead of making things better you aggrevate the situation by trash talking and treating me like garbage.

All you do is complain and whine and trash talk, huh? Do you think you can do better? If you do, I dare you to get your ass over here, and lets switch places.
I bet you, you will not last at least a week or worst even a day. I'm imagining myself saying this to you.
"How does it feel to be in my shoes? Not as comfy as you thought it would be. How would it feel if I did the same things that you did to me? Would you still act like a smart ass? Do you still think I'm incompetent?"

2. A group cosplay participant cannot be allowed to join another group even as a minor role actor. They will also not be allowed to join the solo cosplay category.

3. A group must consist of at least 3 members and no more than 5 members. All members who will perform on-stage must wear costumes from the following: Ragnarok Online, the Ragnarok Manhwa (comic book), or the Ragnarok anime. No original costumes or costumes from characters coming from other videogame, comic book, or anime series will be allowed.

4. All cosplay groups will be required to do a ?skit? on-stage. A skit must last at least 1 minute to no more than 5 minutes in length. Your group can make a short play, sing, dance, or do a choreographed fight-scene on-stage. When you register your group, please submit the script you will be using so the organizers will be well-informed on what your group will be doing on-stage and advise you if it would be possible to perform them.

5. Microphones will be provided to the group if it is needed, but there will be no background music for your group's skit by default. You can provide your own background music (In CD audio format. Other formats such as MP3 or MIDI will not be accepted), but please give them to the organizers at least 3 hours before the program starts. Level Up! holds no responsibility towards any inconvenience caused as a result of faulty recording or music medium.

6. The criteria for judging will be: Accuracy- How close the group's costumes resembles those of the characters they are cosplaying as (25%), Craftsmanship ? The amount of creativity given by the group in the construction of their accessories or props (25%), Presentation ? Wee, I decided to change the lay out of my uber boring blog again. Hope you guys like it. Many thanks to Khul for helping me with the lay out.

Many changes will happen this May; we just introduced our new game R.O.S.E. Online. It will open for beta play this June. Since we have a new game, we expect to have new workmates soon. We also laid low from playing R.O. because we are preparing for R.O.S.E., I can't hardly wait. I'll probably make a muse and a dealer. I also want to have a car and a castle gear. I also hired a new assistant; he'll probably arrive here by June. Don't worry I'll post pictures as soon as he gets here.

On the other note...

I forgot to tell you about my adventures in Davao. Our trip to Davao was a blast I went there with Sumire, Mua'dib, Destiny, Anarki and the other GM's for Davao RPC leg. On our way there we experienced some minor mishaps, like; our flight was delayed for almost 3 hrs, so we had no choice but to sit at the waiting area for like.. 4-5 hours. Our landing wasn't so great either. It was my first time to fly so Mua'dib made sure that I will never forget t. He tried to make me throw up by making those "throw up noises". Luckily I didn't.

I loved Davao, it was so beautiful and the temperature wasn't so hot, unlike in Manila. The food was great and so as the people, I loved the place so much that I want to extend our stay there. The only thing that I didn't like is there is no Starbucks there. I experienced severe caffeine withdrawal syndromes. On our last day we planned to go island hopping but it was cancelled due to lack of time, so we went to the beach instead. Paradise Island was so nice, Sumire and I loved the beach there, the sand was so fine, it feels like the powder that comes with espasol XD. The sea breeze was so refreshing. We didn't take a dip though because we forgot to bring extra clothes coz we thought we were going island hopping and souvenir shopping. Speaking of souvenirs, we weren't able to shop for souvenirs, we enjoyed the beach so much that we lost track of time; we left there an hour before our flight. XD Talk about cramming!

As I expected our flight was delayed yet again, if we only we used that time to shop for souvenirs T_T . *sigh* I was only able to pick up a few knick knacks at the airport while waiting, a couple of key chains and a bag of Durian candies. There's nothing much to buy there because the stores pretty much carry the same stuff and I can't find an ATM. >.< The flight was much better I love turbulences; you prolly think I'm weird, but its true I love turbulences don't know why. The landing was smooth; it did not make me wanna throw up my lunch. And at the airport I forgot to ask my dad to pick me up, thankfully Destiny was nice enough to give us a ride.

I will definitely miss Davao and I definitely want to go back there. In fact I told my friend that instead of going to Boracay, why don't we go to Davao instead. XD

Priests are not slaves

I haven't played RO for a very long while, when I mean play, not public apperances using my sprite but, leveling up, partying with others, and going on adventures using a normal character. How I missed playing RO,I was busy with work that I hardly log in and play. So last week end, me and my friends decided to catch up on old time, we decided to make new characters as a sign of a fresh start. It took sometime for them to get the hang of it because they've forgotten how to play. We chose the acolyte class, 2 monks and one priest. Everything was fine till, we got those annoying "pa heal po pls, pa buffs po pls". SUre, a heal and buff wouldn't hurt, but if they keep on coming back and asking for more, I kinda got inotmy nerve. I started to declined their request, and what do I get, either the KS us, or call me "Madamot". I don't get it, for me priests are not born to be slaves, sure our job description is to serve God and others, but that doesn't mean that we should be treated as slaves. Ohter players survived without a priest at thier side so why do they always ask us for heals and buffs? Instead of concentrating on our own mission, most of our time are spent on giving heals and buffs at every players request. Its tiring at the same time annoying, we have our own lives and own parties to attend to. When will they ever learn to be independent? Even if its just for a little while.

I remember I was sitting at nearby store, resting regaining my SP whe a player approaches me and asks for a heal, I declined him and what did he do, he harrassed me, called me names. I let that one go, but sometimes there only so much a person can take.There are some who ask for heals and buffs and when you give it to them, they would just simply walk away, like duh? A simple /thx or Thanks you would do.

For me priests are the most abused job in RO. BUt I still like it....

Somethings that I wish would disappear

Why is it that everytime something happens they blame us.

In their eyes, we always do the wrong things. Even if we do a good job, there will always someone who would complain then another one, then another one, until almost all of them are now complaining, telling us how lousy we are. If only they knew how hard our job really is. Sure we are called ** but that doesn't mean that all we do is play and play. We perform a lot of task inside the "world", we are the police, customer support, public servants, researchers, guidance councilors and event coordinators. Our duties doesn't end there we still have jobs to perform outside the "world".

And even tho' we are trying our best to give them the better is not best service. They don't see it because they are busy finding our flaws and pointing it out and rubbing it in our faces. Nobody deserves to be treated like rubbish. We are humans just like you, we deserve respect and understanding. If you were in our shoes, you go to work and the first thing you read are hurtful remarks. How would you feel? And that goes on until you get off from work.How would you feel when people poke their heads into your private lives? Making up rumors about your personal life? Accussed of doing something bad without enough evidence? FINDING YOUR LITTLEST FLAWS AND MAGNIFIES IT OUT OF PROPORTION AND MAKING SUCH A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT rather that finding something much more important to focus on? Why can't they just appreciated what we do once in a while? Is a little act of gratitude too much to ask?

I'm not being bitter or anything. Those are just frustrations that I wanted to let out.

As much as I would like to rant even more, I can't because I know that THEY would make a big deal of it.

Sheessh, minsan nakakainis na konting kibo mo kahit na para sa personal mong buhay, palalakihin nila, at ipinipilit isama sa pulitika at intriga ng "mundong" yon. Kagaya ngtiong blog ko na pati dito ay puro reklamo pa rin ang sinasabi.

Uulitin ko lang ito ay blog ko, mundo ko, dito ako nag papahinga at lumalagi kung gusto kong lumayo sa "mundong" iyon. Kaya kung pwede kung ano man mabasa nyo dito, wag nyo isama sa mga nag yayari at nababasa nyo doon. Kaya nga tinawag na PERSONAL eh.

Amatsu Aftermath

The Amatsu and Kunlun launch was a success! All that sleepless nights,"battle scars", and severe emotional stress were worth it. To top it all of, I got Battlechaser's thumbs up with my performance regarding the cosplay competition. As well as the cosplayers.

It was my first time to head a cosplay competition. I was nervous and excited at the same time. Thankfully all that volunteering I did with the past cosplay events, and the fact that I have friends who organize cosplay events helped me a lot. Yes we were al happy with the outcome, especially me. But I feel that I can do better that that. ^^

Again I wanna THANK all the people who helped me. And helped the Amatsu and Kunlun launch sucessful.

I just wished our (me, odine and mikou) former boss have seen that. Its a proof that that we've grown a lot better and we strived to make him proud. ^^

I wish I'm still a student!

Yeah, many students wish that they would graduate soon. But we graduates wish to be students again. Why? Here are the perks of being a student

1. No classes during typhoons , holidays and weekends. Working people like us don't. T_T

2. When you got kicked out of a school,its easy to find another one. If you got fired, good luck in finding another job, due to our unstable economy, getting a decent job is considered a "stroke of luck".

3.And last and certainly the best. ALLOWANCE, most students have their parents to pay for them. Unlike when you are woking, you have to excert more effort in earning your money, and most parents cut off their children's allowance when they have their own jobs. And no vat will be deducted on allowance

Hay, I miss being a student, where I don't have to pay for anything, I would just have to ask from my parents. And no TAX deductions. Since you don't pay for anything like electric bills, phone bills, food, you have your allowance all by yourself. You can buy anything you want with it, without worrying that you'll starve becasue you don't know where to get some money.

You'll probably wonder why I'm whining, its because of the damn VAT, I'm barely making enough money to support my self, and then the government will deduct even more? What will happen to us?

Yes I'm broke, at first I could't believe it, said to my self, how can I be broke, when I have a job, then it hit me, I have bills to pay now, and government obligations to fulfill.

SO guys, especially kids who still rely on their parents. You're lucky, because you don't feel the financial strain that your parents feel right now, and don't be in a hurry to graduate. Enjoy the "luxury" that you have. And for those who have allowances, learn to save and make the most out of it!

Mahirap ang buhay ngayon, maawa kayo sa magulang ninyo na nag papakapagod magtrabaho kumita lang ng pera.

Confessions of a Fallen Angel

I dug up my old files and found this. This is the inspiration for my new and improve blog. This is not a whole story, just random lines that I wrote when I was still a field GM.

Angels are caring and gentle by nature, thats probably Humans loved angels, its a different kind of love that they have for their gods. Many wished to see an angel and to have one by their side. But Angels are probably the loneliest creature in this world, the God created a world just for them, a world were they could roam and play and observe the humans.

WHere do fallen angels go? Are they still wanted, even if thier wings are broken? Who would want fallen angel afterall fallen angels are uselss without their wings...

Lilith, you are a fool." "Yes, I'm aware of that, but if my foolishness would make someone happy then I'm proude to be one.

And there she all alone and trembling. She locked up her soul and threw away the key, hoping that someone may find it and free her again but also hoping that it will be lost forever so that she will never be hurt gain.

Lucien, remember what the elders say I you love someone you should be happy for him if he is happy? You're happy coz you found a new angel, I should be happy to but why am i crying? - Confessions of A Fallen Angel

Where am i? the prairie is gone, and replaced by the ugly window facing the busy city, I realized, it was only a dream , i don't live there anymore, and i can't go back there ever again. I looked myself in the mirror, I see my broken wings, it reminded me what i was before. I was an angel, but not anymore, i was casted away from my homeland, afterall an angel with broken wings is useless.

I did not have a place to go, no one would accept me, I was forced to live amongst the humans.

"Stop dwelling on the past my dear Lilith, move on and look forward to the future." "How can I move on when everything I had was in the past, and lost them in the present, I have nothing to look forward in the future!"

I had a dream that turned into a nightmare, Lucien left me, he found another angel. Then I asked myself, "Did I fail him? Did I make him unhappy? Why did he leave me?" I woke up crying, I went to him and asked, "You will never leave me right?" "No, my darling Lilith, I wont." Those words still etched inmy mind, it was just a dream, I never believed it. But I guess it was a warning I was too late, it came true, he really left me for another angel...

They say dreams are warnings, I was a fool not to believe in it. Now the Gods punished me for not heeding to their warning...

Gabriel, do you really you love her? If you are sure of what you feel, the you have my blessings, but if have any doubts, then leave her, I don't want Elizabeth to suffer the same fate as mine. Don't do to her what Lucien did to me.

Lucien was her sun, loosing her sun, means facing the darkness, death. Her false hopes for Lucien's return is what keeps her from falling into death's hands.

Sarah hugged her friend and said "It's sad, the only one who could dry your tears was the one who made you cry in the first place."

Sarah tried to comfort her, but alas, Lilith finally gave up and surrendered to Death's calling, she slowly vanished in front of Sarah's eyes.""I'm tired my friend, please tell him that even if i'm not here i'll will always be at his side"

Lucien, you are the reason why I kept on living,loosing you means loosing my reason to live, goodbye my Lucien, I hope you will be happy with her. I'll be with you forever, in spirit.

Xie, Do you know the reason why we live? What would you do if you lost that reason? DO you think God would forgive me if I lost the will to live?

I wish you all the best Gabriel, sadly I can't be here anymore, I decided to give up and watch him from above....

And so with that, Lilith, drifted deeper into the empy space that her troubled heart has created. Will she come out of it again, we will there know.

Lilith gave up the reality and decided to sleep for eternity. Her sorrows and pains kept haunting her and gave birth to a new Lilith, an angel with black wings.

Michael was shocked to see her friend.Lilith looked the except for the black wings and a dark aura sorrounding her. She shooked her and said "Get a hold of yourself, Lucien is not coming back, you have to move on!" Lilith just gave her a blank stare.

"How could you do this to me Lucien?""I
accepted and loved you with all my heart, when the demons of your past came to haunt you, I stood by your side and made sure that you are safe." "You told me that you loved me too, but why did you leave me?"

Michael and the others could tell that Lilith has changed, her great loss changed her dramatically, she is no longer the kind, sweet and compassionate. Her heart is now full of hatred, anger and depression, and no trace of the Lilith that they knew.

Sensing the his friend might do something. Ecanus followed Lilith. Unaware that someone was following her, Lilith continued to look for the angel who took Lucien away from her.

Lilith's reason for living had changed, she is now living in hatred, she came back,to see Lucien kneel in front of her and beg for mercy, beg her to accept him again, it might take long but she doesn't care, anger has overtaken her soul, given her strength to live and see that day...

I just write them down as i go along. When ideas pop into my head in the middle of my work, I just write them down and save them. Hopefully I can write a full story next time. But there is one problem, I can only write when I'm dpressed, so I have do be depressed in order to continue that. And being depressed is bad.... >.<

Craftsmanship award P 2,000

General Cosplay Guidelines:

1. Anyone can take part in the contest, regardless of your gender or age.

2. Amatsu & Kunlun cosplayers will automatically get a Level Up Amatsu an Kunlun Goodie bag from Level Up.

3. Since this is the Amatsu & Kunlun launch for pRO, the characters which you will be cosplaying as should be characters from Ragnarok Online, the Ragnarok manhwa (Korean comic book), or theRagnarok anime.

4. No volatile/explosive/toxic/radioactive/reactive/corrosive/easily flammable substances are allowed. Although you can still use fake blood or confetti, please make sure the mess will be at a minimum. This is also for the safety of the cosplayer who will be going onstage after you.

5. Microphones will be provided for the cosplayers.

6. If you plan to carry a weapon, you must conform to the following:
- Real weapons are strictly not allowed. If your characterneeds to have a weapon, you can bring a replica or make it out of cardboard or wood (this also gives you points for craftsmanship!). Please inform us beforehand what props you will be bringing for thecosplay.

- All props should be kept/carried with the utmost caution.Level Up! will bear no responsibility towards any injury as a resultof a cosplayer's carelessness.

- Level Up! reserves the right to bar the usage of any props that may seem potentially dangerous and/or harmful.

7. No profanity or rude gestures will be tolerated onstage. This convention is for everyone, so let's keep it clean. You don't need to be rude to be funny. Those who will disregard this rule will be automatically disqualified and barred from entering any Level Up! cosplay event in the future.

8. Jumping off-stage, interacting with the MC, & interacting with the judges is not allowed

9. Level Up! reserves the right to withdraw the rights of participation and/or props should one be found to break any of the aforementioned rules/regulations. Ignorance is no excuse.

11. The judges' decision is final, no appeals will be entertained.

12. Level Up! may tape or photograph contestant entries at its discretion. Entry into this contest constitutes an agreement by theentrants to allow Level Up! to use their likeness/image, etc in any current/future advertisement, promotion, or product.

13. Registration for the contest will be from 11am to 1pm.

14. The judges will decide the final winners. Only cosplayers who dressed up as an RO couple are eligible to win the twin hearts award. A couple must consist of a male RO character and a female RO character, although there won't be restriction on the gender of the cosplayers (So, if one is cosplaying as an RO priest with a priestess, but they are both girls, they are eligible to join). The other categories up for grabs in the contest are: Super Novice (Best cosplayer aged 12yo. And below), Midgard?s Finest award(1st,2nd and 3rd place, for over-all cosplayers) & Craftsmanship award.

15. The criteria for judging will be:
Accuracy- How close thecosplayer's costume resembles those of the character he/she iscosplaying as (30%),
Craftsmanship ? The amount of creativity given by the cosplayer in the construction of their accessories or props (30%),
Presentation ? How well the cosplayer presented his/her character to the audience on stage (30%),
Audience Impact (10%).

Caffeine Overload!

Yup, as most of you know, our office is situated at Pacific Star and before you enter the lobby of the building, you will see Starbucks toyour right. Having a Starbucks Cafe downstairs is nice and bad at the same time, nice because I don't have to go out to look for a nearest Starbucks, the downside is I having a hard time resisting the temptation. The smell of coffee is overwhelming I can't resist it.

Here is the list of my Starbucks favorites
1. Mocha Frappe
2. Coffee Jelly Frappe
3. Marshmallow Mocha
5. Hot Chocolate

Keeping this addiction of mine is hard. One trip to Starbucks would cost you at least 95 pesos. Having just one trip is not enough to satisfy me.

Now in order to fuel my addiction and save money at the same time I asked my mom to prepare a packed lunch so I don't have to buy lunch anymore, thats 120 pesos less of my expenses and 120 pesos more to my BJD savings.

Speaking of BJDs, i'm a recently converted Mistula fan. For all of you who don't know Mistula, just click on the link at the right side of my blog for more info. AN I'm now obsessed with BJDs, to the point that I wanted to buy one for myself. Unfortunately, BJDs are not cheap, they came with at least 400$ price tag. so its going to take a while for me to save enough money to buy one.

I was also able to chat with Joey the very first owner of a BJD in the Phil. *waves to Joey*

On November 13, 2004, Ongaku Society is holding a major indoor event called â€œOngakuFestival: A Celebration of Japanese Music in the Philippinesâ€�, at the premiere THX cnema in Makati City. Through this event, we hope to introduce more people to the wonders of modern Japanese music, and further spread awareness and appreciation for this unique art form.

During OngakuFestival, independent bands from all over Metro Manila can showcase their skills and talent for recreating popular Japanese tunes, as well as producing their own original, Japanese music-influenced tracks.

Local fans of Japanese artists can get together for a good time, outdoing each other in a fashion show of their best rock-inspired outfits, similar to those found in Tokyoâ€™s popular Harajuku district. Other Japanese-oriented online communities and local organizations can also be present at the event to promote their own groups and pursuits, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and friendship across a diverse range of interests.
